Red-tailed Hawk Almost Ready for Release

none (1 of 1)

A Red-tailed Hawk that Badger Run has been rehabbing for a few weeks is almost ready to go back to flying wild & free.  This little guy had a rather tricky wing fracture, but it looks like he should be good to go soon.  Here you see him getting a final check showing that his fracture has healed nicely leaving him with very nice wing extension.  Just after this picture was taken our patient was moved out to our huge free-flight cage to get some much needed exercise prior to release.  When we turned him loose in the flight cage he was flying like a champ!
