Our little Yellow Bellied Marmot has grown up to be a “big boy” now, so we released him at the location where he was found. Hopefully, his family recognized him and took him back happily. Good luck RK!
Love this little guy!
After talking to a Marmot expert at Prince Rupert Wildlife Rehab Center, we learned that we’ll be keeping this little guy a few months, until he is about the size of an adult. Good thing we have that great mammal pen almost re-roofed! He’ll be big enough to go in there in a few weeks! More photos to come soon!
Weaned and ready to go
this little guy came to us so small, weak and dehydrated. He’s doing great now and ready for release soon!
