Hello! Im sending in this application for 2 reasons. I love animals of all kinds especially birds. I’ve owned a few birds when I was a child and I’ve always felt a special bond with them. I’ve worked in a-lot of difficult and diverse fields but this along with working at a major zoo/wildlife sanctuary has been a dream of mine for years. I would like to get my foot in the door whether it be as a volunteer or as an employee. I’m more than able to travel to and from the rehabilitation center and would love to get involved. My email is attached although I would prefer a call. (458)-232-0284. Thank you

Please fill out the volunteer form on the website & follow instructions for submission. We are currently not doing any new volunteer training due to Covid, but this should change by the end of the summer. Thank you so much for your interest!

What would volunteering look like? Such as time commitment, responsibilities, needed qualifications/training, experiences, fostering, etc..?

    • Laura Hale says:

Hi, Kira. If you look at the applicatiion you’ll see a number of items listed under volunteer opportunities. So depending on what you are interested in doing will dictate time commitment. If you are interested in animal care such as feeding we ask for a commitment of at least 4 hours, once a week. If you are simply interested in transport then it is very occasional. We do not have any fostering opportunities. We do any training needed. Thanks………..Laura
