Liz Rowley
Treasurer
Liz Rowley has been a registered veterinary technician since 1997 and dedicated to the medical care and needs of wildlife since 1999. Her fund raising activities started in 2004. In her early years bats were a frequently worked with species and the higher risk associated with them lead to her becoming vaccinated for rabies. This means that if a suspicious mammal comes in Liz is most likely to work with it until the health status is known.
Liz started volunteering and helping BRWR in 2009. She became a licensed rehaber in Oregon in 2010 and became treasurer for BRWR that same year. She works with Tawnia Shaw and Holly Hughes at Everett Veterinary Hospital & Boarding House, Inc. In general besides her treasurer duties Liz intakes short term care birds and her favorite is the short eared owls.
Liz spends her free time doing educational presentations, rehab, fundraising, and event planning all while being a mom to a 12 year old son, 4 crazy dogs, 5 spoiled cats and 1 bearded dragon. As an RVT she does continuing education every year and focuses part of that specifically to exotics/wildlife education whenever the chance comes along.
